About
Pride is more traditional than you might think. Its history stretches back over 50 years, to 1969, when LGBTQ+ people took to the streets of New York for the first time to demand their rights. Carry on their legacy and join us for Prague Pride Parade! Let's show together that we want to live in a world where equality and respect are the core values. Maybe we'll tear down a few oppressive traditions along the way and build some new ones.
Meet us on Saturday, August 8th at 11:00 AM in the lower part of Václav Square. During the lineup, DJ Jan Witek will be performing on the stage at Můstek, so the amazing atmosphere starts right from the beginning. Jan will also take on the role of MC and give you all the important details about the parade itself.
At the stalls in the lower part of Václav Square, you can make your own last-minute banner for the parade or get your face painted. And if you feel like you're not rainbow enough, you can fix that with a shopping spree at the Queershop stand. You also have the option to stop by Sephora stores for free basic rainbow face painting.
A water tank with drinking water will be set up at Václav Square, so don't forget to bring a bottle and refill before you go!
We'll march down Na Příkopě street, turn onto Republic Square into Celetná street, and reach Old Town Square. From there we'll continue along Pařížská street, Dvořák Embankment, and Ludvík Svoboda Embankment until we reach Těšnov, from which we'll get to Štvanice Island. There, Pride Park will be in its full glory with live music on five stages, tons of food & drink stands, and an unforgettable atmosphere until 10 PM.
During the parade, music will play from the well-known sky stages positioned along the route. But you won't go wrong bringing your own music to the parade. Let's be heard!
