Cabaret of Chimeras

An evening where the shimmer of sequins meets shadow, humour meets melancholy, and desire meets transience. Cabaret of Chimeras brings a lineup of original readings, performances and musical interludes touching on queer experience, identity, love, loss and death.

On the borderline of literature, theatre and dream, contemporary authorial voices come together to open up space for stories that don't fit neat categories. Here, chimeras aren't monsters but images of hopes, fears, memories and the shifting shapes of the self. Each mask worn this evening might reveal something real!

Adolescent is a Czech independent publishing house focused on contemporary poetry and literature reflecting the shifts of today's world. It publishes both Czech and international authors, often debut voices, bringing personal, experimental and socially engaged perspectives on the present.
