Tělák – Theater Exhibition

A school gymnasium, locker rooms, and showers are spaces where teenagers intensely experience their bodies, learn about the pressure of established gender norms, and feel the gaze of others. This is exactly where the Tělák exhibition at the Museum of Prague invites you, which recently reopened after extensive renovation this spring.

Tělák is a theatrical installation where museum objects are not on display, but personal human stories. Stories that perhaps every one of us has experienced. The exhibition opens questions that young people across generations grapple with: feelings of inadequacy about appearance, uncertainty about identity, fear of judgment, pressure to "fit in," and sanctions for not conforming.

Visitors experience stories of repression and exclusion firsthand, but also self-discovery, celebration of freedom, mutual respect, support, and acceptance.

The exhibition is suitable for people of all ages from 12 years old. Take this last opportunity to see this unique installation, as it closes on Sunday, August 9th.
