Tělák – Theatrical Exhibition

School gym, locker rooms and showers are places where teenagers become intensely aware of their bodies, feel the pressure of established gender norms and are exposed to the eyes of others. That's exactly where the Tělák exhibition at the Museum of Prague – newly reopened after extensive renovation this spring – takes its visitors.

Tělák is a theatrical installation that doesn't display museum objects, but personal human stories. Ones that probably every one of us has experienced. The exhibition opens up questions that young people across generations go through: feelings of inferiority about one's appearance, uncertainty about one's identity, fear of judgement, the pressure to "fit in" and the sanctions when one doesn't.

Visitors experience firsthand stories of repression and exclusion, but also of finding oneself, celebrating freedom, mutual respect, support and acceptance.

The exhibition is suitable for people of all ages from 12 up. Take your last chance to see this unique installation, as it closes on Sunday, August 9.
