About
Climate Fresk is a cooperative workshop. Through an interactive card game, it brings scientific knowledge about climate in an understandable and playful way, helping you understand this complex and very current topic. It's based on data from the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and shows the connections between causes and impacts.
Some people believe that human activity is not the main cause of climate change. Others try to live sustainably and actively address it. Some disagree with measures, some are apathetic, and some feel climate anxiety. But everyone has an opinion. Climate change affects our work, relationships, and everyday decisions – from choosing a holiday to what we eat. This workshop opens a space for sharing and finding common understanding.
The game was created in 2015 by French expert Cédric Ringenbach and has been continuously developed into its current form. Today, workshops using it take place in more than 170 countries, in more than 45 languages. More than 2.3 million people have participated, and it is facilitated by more than 100,000 trained facilitators.
Participation is limited – book your spot early!
Workshop Facilitated By Lucie Štefanská – graduate in zoology from the Faculty of Science at Charles University. After experiencing the challenges of scientific research during an unfinished doctoral study at the Faculty of Forestry at Czech University of Life Sciences, she worked for two and a half years at the Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic on the EU cross-border project Interreg AT-CZ: Crossborder Habitat Network and Management – Connecting Nature AT-CZ. The theme of "connecting" has in its own way continued to guide her since. At Prague Zoo, she experienced connecting the general public with the animal world through the garden's information system, and in her current position as a specialist in environmental projects at Mattoni 1873, she seeks optimal connections between supporting biodiversity and other interests of society.
