About
How has the journey toward one's own identity transformed over the past decades?
A discussion panel will focus on the topic of transition from the perspective of different generations. Together with Lenka Králová and Mia Moore, we'll explore what makes today's era easier for trans people and where new barriers emerge. We're reflecting on 20 years since the introduction of registered partnership and asking how society's perception of trans identity in the Czech Republic has shifted in that time.
Moderator Karolína Kostková will guide the guests and audience through themes that often remain behind closed doors, seeking to find parallels between the experiences of people who have gone through transition in different social contexts. The discussion is built on values of mutual support and intergenerational dialogue.
Panelists Lenka Králová – activist for transgender rights, moderator. Born before the Velvet Revolution, she is today one of the most visible transgender personalities in the Czech Republic. Professionally, she worked in IT as a software developer and previously focused on music. She is the author and moderator of the podcast V tranzu, where she speaks with trans people about their transition, and consistently opens up discussions about identity and acceptance – emphasizing what people have in common rather than their differences.
Mia Moore – the most renowned Czech transgender model. She began modeling at sixteen and has worked worldwide – attending castings and shoots in London, Milan, Paris, Japan, Korea, Slovakia, and Germany, and appeared in a photographic project associated with Vogue. As a representative of Gen Z, she openly talks about her transition journey, including planned surgeries as part of her transition, and brings the perspective of the younger generation to the discussion.
Moderated by Karolína Kostková – Head of Marketing Refresher CZ, art & lifestyle contributor. She oversees brand communication, media partnerships, and collaborations.
