Queer Youth – Support Group for Teenagers

Is something troubling you and you need to talk about it, share your feelings and experiences? Or do you just want to spend time in a safe environment full of young queer people? Then this support group for queer teens aged 13 to 17 is here for you.

Facilitators will of course be present on site. Note: This is not therapy or psychological support, but a space intended for sharing.

Moderated by Lu/Luis (he/him) – involved in Queer & Trans Youth CZ events, primarily in Brno. He also works as a mentor at the sbarvouven.cz counselling service and is in his fifth year of studying psychology. In his free time he enjoys spending time with friends or making things.

Haru (they/them) – coordinates the community project Queer & Trans Youth CZ, where they facilitate both leisure and support meetups. They do the same for the organisation Trans*parent, where they also sit on the board. They are currently finishing their studies in special education. They enjoy musical and visual creation – playing instruments, composing music, graphic design, photography, and more.

Vibe check – intimate event (up to around 30 people), quiet (no loud music, shouting, etc.), requires interaction with the audience or other participants, seating available, indoor space

Organised by – Queer & Trans Youth CZ Queer & Trans Youth CZ – QTY (queer teens) is a safe and inspiring space full of acceptance, support and social contact for young LGBTQIA+ people (roughly 13–21 years old), running since 2016!
