About
What to expect
Zuzka used drugs for a long 18 years – she started when she was fifteen. She lived on the street and managed to pull herself out of it all. For years she baked and cooked at the non-profit organisation Jako doma. Now she works in the same organisation in housing for women without homes. Zuzka also works as a field worker for the Sananim Contact Centre, helping young people at risk of or already affected by drug addiction. She devotedly accompanies them to government offices and doctors and tries to pull them out of the worst. She knows very well what it's like to hit rock bottom.
She herself says she swapped her drug addiction for a work addiction. A trained veterinary nurse, she has been happily "living" with her girlfriend and dog in a shared flat for 10 years. She has also successfully gone through debt relief. By telling her story on walks through Prague, she contributes to raising awareness and preventing addiction to habit-forming substances.
Meeting point is at Náměstí Republiky in front of the Kotva department store.
