About
What to expect
Společnost pro queer paměť (Society for Queer Memory) invites you to hang out on the Queer Memory Blanket, spread out on the lawn in Pride Village from Tuesday to Friday afternoon.
It'll be a safe space not just for relaxing, but also for discussions about the queer past and for collectively imagining what a hypothetical memorial to queer history could look like. You can create your own proposal — a description, drawing, painting, or model — we'll provide the materials. The collected ideas will feed into a research project by artist Martin Kámen, who is working on the actual design and realization of a queer memorial in Prague.
Admission – free
Accessibility – suitable for children and teens, dog-friendly, wheelchair accessible
Vibe check – intimate event (up to around 30 people), quiet (no loud music, shouting, etc.), requires interaction with the audience or other participants, seating available, outdoor space
