Petřín Funicular

December community hike exploring Prague's transport heritage.

Meeting point at 10:30 at the Dědina tram terminus.

From the new tram loop we'll head to Ruzyně and into the Hvězda game reserve. We'll walk through the park, past Břevnov Monastery and through the heritage zones of Střešovice and Ořechovka to the Public Transport Museum. From there we descend towards the edge of Nový Svět and via Loreta reach Pohořelec. We enter the Petřín gardens and follow a park path up to Petřín hill, where our destination is the upper station of the newly reopened funicular.
