About
What to expect
Times are changing, and in the world rather quickly. The recent turbulent developments send a chill down our spines, and we wish so much that changes for the worse wouldn't happen at all, or would unfold as slowly as possible.
In the church environment, on the other hand, everything changes slowly. That slowness sends a chill down our spines too, and we wish so much that changes favorable to queer people would happen right now, or at least faster. In some churches, good changes have already taken place and can be enjoyed.
The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (ČCE) ranks among the most open churches toward queer people in the Czech Republic. The council of the ČCE church U Martina ve zdi has been leading by example in this regard for several years, and this year is no exception. That's why once again it invites participants of Prague Pride Festival to its regular Sunday service held on the day before the festival opens.
The service, which will include Holy Communion, will be led by Johana Miriam Vorlová, minister of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren, in cooperation with the Logos ČR community.
