About
What to expect
Are you queer and love traveling the world – whether solo or as a couple? Do you have experience from different cultural contexts or want to collect some stories? Come to the first informal meeting of LGBTQ+ travel for inspiration, networking, authentic stories, and practical tips! Human rights conditions vary in many places around the world, and so traveling can present various challenges for queer people. Let's share together where to be careful, what to watch out for, and tips on our favorite queer-friendly destinations!
The meeting will be led by Jana Doktorová from Prague Pride, whom you may know from support and community events at KáCéČko, as well as from travel festivals where she speaks on the topics of mindfulness and mental health (both on the road and on long treks). You'll also meet renowned travelers Deny and Carol from the Holkycestovatelky project, who have already traveled through 68 countries together! Plus Markéta Kračmárová, author of the first lesbian travel memoir Palec v rohlíku aneb Šílená stopařská odysea napříč Spojenými státy, and Jan Blinka, a traveler, coach, and former humanitarian worker with experience living in places like Georgia, Congo, and New Zealand.
Where: Obzory Festival, Room 201, Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University, Náměstí Jana Palacha 2, Prague 1
